I missed out on this gem of an album by this Awesome band the first go around. However, with the Awesome newest release I had to check out the back catalog. Thank you De Profundis for the great METAL and to TO for bringing the music into the hands of us crazy METALHEADS. gwcon2006

Like a hybrid offspring of Obituary and Dismember, Centinex are the culmination, purification, and crystallization of death metal. The two minute instrumental track "Doomsday" absolutely oozes Obituary. So good. MindOverFour

Who doesn't know about Rogga and his phenomenal output of swedeath? It has to be acknowledged that he doesn't put out any bad songs and is capable to hold up the tension. Not only that, je eben manages to increase the intensity of his works. mourner

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
